Repairs, replacement assets and cash-flow needs often cannot wait for a third-party claim to be resolved. Claim Advance is intended to give eligible clients access to part of an expected recovery earlier while Claim Pilot continues managing the underlying recovery.
How it is expected to work
When Claim Advance opens, the process is expected to follow these broad steps:
Start or continue your claim
You start or continue a claim in your Claim Pilot account online, exactly as you do today.
Eligibility review
Your claim would be reviewed to see whether an advance could be suitable, depending on the circumstances.
Advance offer
Where suitable, an offer for part of the expected recovery could be made, depending on eligibility.
Recovery continues
The underlying recovery process continues exactly as it does today, regardless of any advance.
Final settlement
Once the claim is resolved, settlement and reconciliation would occur under the terms agreed at the time.
